about me
my mom gave me a set of framed butterflies that had hung in my grandparents living room. i've always been told that i'd climb up on the chair sitting underneath to try and catch the butterflies. i packed and unpacked them with each apartment i had when i moved to los angeles from Kentucky. i even used them as decor at my wedding. they are a part of home. a part of me...who i am regardless of where i live.
these butterflies and these memories planted a seed of how important intentional and meaningful art is. it fills your home with what it should be filled with. things that make you feel something. something good, something grounding, something inspirational. not mass produced.
whether or not you believe in the energetic powers of crystals and stones - the impact is pretty much the same. what they represent (for instance rose quartz helping to foster love), how they look in your space, the connection you have with where you purchased them or who gave them to you - they take you to positive place.
i hope you've collected many mind-nourishing objects throughout your life. and i hope that something i've created - that's been brought into your space or gifted to a loved one has added to those collections.
